My recent venture into water color...

This painting was done in about an hour. I know it's not amazing, but my enthusiasm for watercolor has just been rekindled and this is right at the beginning of the wave. Hopefully things will get a better as I keep practicing. We just got back from a visit to Idaho to visit a friend, and as a thank you for staying at their house, I sat out front and painted the scene before me.

I would also have you know that I did not make the painting from this photograph. The difference in perspective you see is the difference between the naked eye and the focal length of the camera lens. So please don't dock me points for not getting it to look exactly like the photograph that you see. But I was impressed that Marianne was able to get a picture from almost exactly where I sat to do the painting.

I have a lot to learn about painting.

I love this, Babe! This is honestly one of my favorites. You never cease to amaze me with what you 'whip up' without breaking a sweat.

Nice work! It takes a lot of courage to tackle something in watercolor, so you're obviously less yellow-bellied than I.

(also, sorry about the deleted post, first it posted as my wife)

Creating the Anhedonia Logo

This is the animated logo at the end of the new television show, Mr. Sunshine. Think "Sit, Ubu. Sit." or "Bad Robot!!" You can see it better quality at http://vimeo.com/20228001 A few months ago I got a call from my friend Matt Davis asking if I would maybe, possibly be somewhat interested in considering working on a logo like that for Matthew Perry. I jumped at the chance. The company is called Anhedonia Productions, and you're probably wondering what in the world "Anhedonia" means. It's the inability to experience pleasurable emotions from normally pleasurable life events. A pretty crappy situation, but comedy goldmine. I worked with Andy Erekson and Marcelo Vignali (and his daughter) to come up with a list of 50 ideas of what this logo could be within the theme that Perry had already set up. I boarded out 7 of those ideas and created 3 animated beta tests. Here are some of my favorites... For exploration: Face on Jumbotron Rodeo Christmas tre...
